This Bangkok Massage Guide is for visitors to the city of angels who are wanting to find as much information as they possibly can on the topic they hear so much. Thailand, as you may know, is renowned around the globe for, not only its beautiful girls but also for its excellent massages, especially the ones with a happy ending. You could say that it's all part of the Thai culture.
The information you are about to read here is a continuation of my beginner's guide to massage parlours in Bangkok, which might be worth your while to read foremost. So if you happened to come across to this page first, it's probably better that you go and read that page before this one and then come back here. Don't worry; I'm not going anywhere. I'll be waiting for you to return.
I'll be telling you all about the different types of massage parlours, what kind of services they offer and where to get the best value for your money. We'll also be looking at the extraordinary experiences you'll have as well as some of the challenges you may have to face. So let's kick off with the basics, and by that I mean, Thai foot massage. After that, we go all the way up to the naughty stuff.
Thai Foot Massage Parlours
Thai foot massage parlours are just about on every street corner in Bangkok, making them relatively easy to find, and with good reason too. All the walking you do will no doubt make your feet tired and will need a rest now and then. Massage shops as I call them, not only offer foot massage but the girls here can also provide you with a head and shoulder massage as well as manicures and pedicures. If you're looking for anything else, you're probably in the wrong place.
Thai Massage Salons
I wouldn't bother asking for anything extra other than what I have just mentioned above. Other massage services you can find elsewhere which we'll get to in a moment. Let's talk about Traditional Thai massage, which in my opinion is best catered for in a spa salon at the better hotels. Having said that the better spas would be in the most luxurious hotels and resorts. You can also find many of these Traditional Thai massage salons all over the city, including in the best shopping malls and arcades. I often go to the malls just for a facial.
Naughty Massage Shops
For the more adventurous visitor, there are Naughty Massage Shops around town offering all sorts of services including full-body massages with or without oil but certainly all with happy endings. These shops allow you to choose your favourite masseuse, who will then provide you, if not a private room, a semi-private room. However, the likelihood you may have to share a shower is all too common. If you prefer, you can always go back to your hotel for a shower.
As a suggestion for this Bangkok massage guide of mine, this is what you should do on entering a naughty massage shop. First and foremost, have a good look around at all the girls on offer. If you spot one you fancy, go to the reception desk and tell the cashier, manager, Papasan or Mamasan that you want the one that has caught your eye. Maybe the girl of your choice caught your eye too.
Many of the girls will smile back at you, making your choice that much more difficult. Prices for an oil massage in a naughty massage shop are usually 400 THB for an hour, 600 THB for one and a half hours and 800 THB for two hours. Just remember the prices quoted here are for the massage only—more for extras.

Teen Massage Shops
As part of this Bangkok massage guide, I would very much like to introduce you to some of the Teen Massage Shops in town. These shops are also sometimes referred to as Teen Spas. Similar in many aspects, but unlike the naughty massage shops as discussed in the previous chapter, these Teen Massage Shops, you can attribute as being somewhat imperceptive. What that means—you cannot tell the difference between what's inside and what's outside. You may be pleasantly surprised.
Some of these esteemed teen quarters describe their businesses with erogenous names such as Angel, Love, Passion, Heaven, Desire and Fantasy in conjunction with the word Teen. So what you will find here are mostly very young and pretty girls. (though all are eighteen or slightly older) Selecting a girl is either by observing them up close and personal or by viewing them from a photo album.
Should you find a girl, you like from the photo album, and she is not immediately available, ask management when she will be on duty and then come back later. In most cases, if not all, Teen massage shops offer private rooms and showers.
Soapy Massage Parlours
In this section of my Bangkok massage guide, we cross over to some of the more prominent establishments, many of which you could easily mistake for luxury hotels than your typical full-body massage parlours. A lot of these enterprises offer soapy massages which have become world-famous. They often include many bars, restaurants and karaoke. Some even provide memberships for their clients.
The singular most distinctive feature on entering a soapy massage parlour is all the pretty young girls sitting ever so patient for customers to arrive, in the sizeable glass-encased window enclosures, commonly known as fish bowls. Apart from their skimpy and sexy clothing, the girls display round disks on their bodies showing numbers or combinations of both numbers and letters. The various numbers or series of numbers and letters all correspond to different price structures.
Once you've selected the girl of your choice and settled into a private room, you'll receive a soapy bath or shower, after which the girl will perform an erotic body to body massage. In most cases, she'll be completely naked or if nothing else, wearing just her panties. And all this while you lay on an inflatable mattress with your pretty girl sliding up and down, front and back, using either oil or soap. Just be aware that not all massage parlours offer the soapy massage option.

Soapy Massage Parlours
La Defense Massage Parlour may be a bit far from downtown Bangkok, but it does come highly recommended. You'll need a taxi to get there. The parlour is at 333 Soi Yaem Nuan, Rama 9 road, next to the Royal Pacific Hotel and Catherine Massage Parlour on Rama 9 Soi 11. They have many pretty girls and are open from 12:00 pm until 11:30 pm. Prices range from 1,900 THB to 5,500 THB.

Victoria Massage in
this part of the Bangkok massage guide is at 555 Soi Soon Vijai 4, (Soi Rama 13) on Rama 9 Road and close to the La Defense massage parlour. Again, it's best to take a taxi there. See the web page for more details and directions. This particular soapy massage parlour is one of the very best in Bangkok. Great place with gorgeous girls. And if you don't mind travelling a little out of town, you'll be rewarded for your efforts. They are open from 3:00 pm until 12:00 am. Prices range from 1,700 THB to 5,500 THB.

Cupidy Massage is a real trendy soapy massage parlour and one of my all-time favourites. The salon is on 1543/1-5 New Phetchaburi Road. About 200 metres from the end of Sukhumvit soi 3, on the ground floor in the Plaza Entertainment Building. If you go by taxi, ask to be dropped at the hotel nearby. Taxi drivers get paid 500 THB commission if they bring you directly to the parlour, and this will add to your tab. Open 12:00 pm to 12:00 am. Fishbowl girls cost 2,000 THB (2 hours) Sideline girls require 2,500 THB (1.5 hours)

Poseidon Entertainment Complex is at 209 Ratchadapisek Road. Take the BTS SkyTrain to Sutthisan Station and exit 4, then walk straight ahead for about 100 metres. You'll see the tall building in front of you. Poseidon is one of the most illustrious of all the parlours in this Bangkok massage guide simply because you may find penthouse pets, television and magazine models and actresses gracing the floor in the model lounge. Prices range from 2,000 THB to 5,500 THB. Open from 2:30 pm to 12:00 am.

Amsterdam Massage Complex in this Bangkok massage guide is at 333, Asok-Din Daeng, Din Daeng. It's opposite the Grand Mercure Fortune Hotel at the Asok Intersection. Amsterdam is an excellent choice for a soapy massage. It's close to downtown Bangkok and easy to reach by taxi or by MRT subway. If you are going to use the subway, please exit at Phra Ram 9 station. Prices range from 2,600 THB to 5,600 THB. (1.5 hours) The parlour is open daily from 12:00 pm until 11:30 pm.

Emmanuelle Massage Parlour is at 55 Ratchadapisek Road, near the Emerald Hotel and opposite the Swissotel Le Concorde Hotel. Take the MRT subway to Huai Kwang Station and exit at gate 3 or 4. The parlour is one of the best and one of a few offering an authentic soapy massage with the famous Nuru gel. Not cheap with Fishbowl Girls costing between 2,500 and 2,800 THB (1.5 hours) and Sideline Girls are costing between 2,800 and 6,100 THB (1.5 hours) depending on whether you take a VIP room or not. Open from 1:00 pm to 12:00 am.

Caesars Entertainment Complex in this Bangkok massage guide is at 212 Rachadapisek Road and close to the Huay Kwang – Ratchada intersection. It's also opposite Emmanuelle Massage. Caesars is a charming parlour with some great looking girls, but a bit more expensive than similar salons in the area. Prices start at 2,000 THB but go as high as 6,500 THB especially for foreigners. Take the MRT subway to Huay Kwang Station and exit gate 4. Open Mon-Fri from 2:00 pm to 12:00 am, and Sat-Sun 1:00 pm to 12:00 am.

La Belle Entertainment Complex in this Bangkok massage guide is just past the overhead bridge near Asok on New Phetchaburi Road. It's next door to the Siam Hotel. This relatively new and delightful parlour has a lot of pretty girls only staff here try their best to overcharge foreigners. Something you should be aware of before you go there. Fishbowl girls cost 2,200 THB (1.5 hours), and Sideline girls cost between 2,600 and 6,800 THB (1.5 hours) depending on their status. They are open daily from 12:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

Angelina Massage is also on New Phetchaburi Road at the very end of soi Thonglor, (Sukhumvit soi 55) near the Bangkok Hospital and opposite the Amari Atrium Hotel. Not the best massage parlour there is around here, but if you're looking for lower prices and are not fussy about the furnishing or pretty girls, then go for it. Fishbowl girls cost just 1,200 THB (2 hours) and Sideline girls cost 1,900 THB (1 hour) They are open from 1:00 pm to 12:00 am.

Utopia Entertainment in this Bangkok massage guide is the ultimate in upmarket soapy massage parlours. You'll find the salon at 69, 69/1-3 Rama 9 Road, Huay Kwang and reasonably close to the parlours on Rachadapisek Road. Utopia is an extremely luxurious venue and embraces some of the prettiest girls in town. Costs tend to be a lot more than most parlours and sore as high as 7,000 THB for a one and a half-hour service. They are open from 2:30 pm until 12:00 am.
