There are officially three seasons to the Thailand Weather Chart and they are the hot season, the rainy season and the cool season. That might be all very well, but for most of us, Thailand seems to have only one season and that is the hot season. Every now and then the rain comes crashing down. The charts here are calibrated in both Fahrenheit and Centigrade.
Well, I have summed up these three seasons myself as the hot season, the very hot season and the ridiculously hot season. It's all a matter of choice as to when to holiday here, depending on what time of the year you can take time off. Nevertheless some of us like it hot. I don't care much for the cold at all, so if a little heat won't make you hot under the collar, then Thailand is the place to be.
The cool season between November and February would be the best time to
travel around Thailand so as to experience the least amount of
discomfort possible. The reason for this is that there is slightly less
humidity in the air. One thing to remember though, and that is, there are
also more tourists at this time of the year. Average temperatures can
easily range from around 13 to 37 degrees centigrade or from around 55
to 98 degrees Fahrenheit.
The hot season between March and June could get a little uncomfortable during this period with some regions being hotter than others, especially in Bangkok. Although the northern provinces are generally cooler, don't be too misled as some of these mountainous hideaways can get very hot at the best of times. Nights in the north are somewhat cooler, though. Average temperatures range from around 22 to 41 degrees centigrade or from 72 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
The rainy season starts in July and ends in October. Don't you just love it when the rain comes crashing down? Psychologically, it does feel cooler. Most of the time the rain will last for an hour or two and then it will be all over.
But don't take my word for it as it can rain for
days on end as well. It's the luck of the Irish or the lack of it, depending on how you look at it. Average temperatures range from around 23
to 37 degrees centigrade or from 73 to 98 degrees Fahrenheit.
Anyone who has experienced travel in Thailand will almost certainly tell you that the
weather in Bangkok
can get extremely hot at the best of times. But then again, as I have said before, some like it hot, or so they say.
I was listening to the
weather forecast in Pattaya
this morning and it says that it's going to be another one of those
bright blue sunny days at the coast. The sun is out and your summer
holiday is about to begin. Have a great time.
The warm weather in Phuket is a welcome relief for much of the year if you are coming from one of the colder countries around the globe. This island paradise is the best beach destination of choice for many tourists. Things are looking up!
The cooler weather in Chiang Mai can be a welcome relief for much of the year if you want to beat the excessive heat in the south and central Thailand. But don't be surprised if it gets a little hot and humid at certain times of the year.

Nothing like the ancient city of Ayutthaya in Central Thailand could take your breath away more. Wat Phra Ram and Wat Phra Manathat are just two of the magnificent ruins here.
