Thai Restaurant Guide

When you visit an authentic Thai Restaurant, you can almost certainly order the Tom Yum Soup, a local cuisine usually made with prawns, hot chillies, herbs and spices. In fact you can even order it from many of the street vendors and don't worry it's perfectly safe to eat. Everyone talks about this traditional spicy dish so when in Thailand, please go and try it then tell me what your thoughts are. If you like this dish and would like to try it at home, I have prepared a delicious

for you. Just click on my link and enjoy. Thai cuisine doesn't stop here either as witnessed by the dramatic number of Thai restaurants opening up all around the world. There must be something about Thai cuisine that everyone loves. You just might find that once you arrive in Thailand, you fall into a Thai feeding frenzy that could last longer than your stay here. The basic ingredients in the preparation of Thai cuisine are coconut, (Thailand has an abundance of coconut plantations) ginger, lemon grass, coriander and the ever present fiery chillies. Please take caution when ordering a meal with chillies as some of smaller ones are guaranteed to dissolve your sinuses and bring many a tear to your eyes. Keep a big jug of water handy. On second thoughts, make that a jug of beer. You can always ask the Thai restaurant chef to tone down the intensity to suit your particular taste. And remember to never put of what you could eat today, tomorrow, because if you eat it today and you love it, then you can do it all over again tomorrow.

Thailand is well known for it's famous award winning gourmet restaurants with international cuisine. In all the big cities you will find American, English, Italian, French, German, Spanish, Indian, Mexican, (my favourite) Japanese, Middle-Eastern and even Vietnamese and Korean which are fast becoming very popular. My where-to-eat guide does not stop here either and I haven't even mentioned any vegetarian hot spots. One thing for sure and that is, you could never starve here in Thailand. Everywhere you look around, there is food, food and more food. Even as poor countries go, Thailand has an abundance of food. The Thai people know just how to keep it coming. With so many local and international restaurants to chose from, you would definitely be spoilt for choice. In fact while I am on the subject of food, I am going to take you on a little tour of some of the local take-away eateries that only the local Thai people can eat... well you can too, but I doubt many of us have the stomach for some of these traditional Thai delicacies. Those of you who have been to Thailand before might know the food I am referring too. You may well have guessed! Their are fried crickets, fried frogs, fried grass-hoppers, fried worms, fried spiders and even fried scorpions and other interesting little creatures. You will have to go to my page on
