Every new year it just gets bigger, better and brighter. It's marvellous and exciting with dazzling displays of events on a grand scale. Highlights include traditional and modern dance, theatrical performances, live rock concerts, classical, flamenco and jazz guitar music festivals. Fun and entertainment all the way.

Ice skating extravaganza, traditional and contemporary art-house dance productions and workshops including hip-hop and urban ballet are some of the main events. There will be puppet shows, circus shows, photography, film and fashion exhibitions and dinner in the dark gourmet dining.

Last but certainly not least, there is the La Fête French-Thai Cultural Festival. Just go out there and be part of the event. Enjoy yourself and have fun.

And what could possibly be more enthralling than for you to take the whole family to see the ice skating extravaganza presented by Disney on Ice entitled Worlds of Fantasy? It is bound to put a smile on any child’s face.

Thailand Cultural Centre Concerts

For lovers of Jazz, Classical and Flamenco Guitar Performances, I have put together a festival directive to some of the top musical concerts that have taken place in Bangkok on previous occasions. Many of the concerts are collaborations of some of the world's foremost guitar superstars.

The Bangkok Guitar Fiesta hosted three superstars. They were award-winning jazz guitarist Martin Taylor, classical guitarists Slava and Leonard Grigoryan and flamenco guitarist Victor Monge Serranito, who had all performed live at the Thailand Cultural Centre in the city.

French-Thai Cultural Festival

The French-Thai Cultural Festival entitled La Fête became one of the most popular cultural art projects ever to have been held in Thailand. In 2011 more than 300,000 visitors flocked to some 30 events that were spread over a period of three months from February to April. The aim was to promote a greater understanding of both Thai and French cultures.

The festival covered a range of activities such as theatrical performances, classical music, rock concerts, Thai dance, contemporary dance and hip-hop dance as well as circus shows, puppet shows, photography, film and fashion exhibitions and a whole lot more. There is sure to be something for all ages.

Dinner in the Dark

As part of the French/Thai Cultural Festival, you were invited to a unique Dinner in the Dark culinary experience. As you are probably aware, for most of us, it has always been customary to eat with our eyes wide open but now there was a great opportunity for you to eat with your eyes wide shut.

Show Time at the Playhouse Theatres in Bangkok

The La Fête French/Thai Cultural Festival was held in the most modern, contemporary and traditional Playhouse Theatres in Bangkok. The spectacular performances consisted of a variety of classical guitar music, be it jazz or flamenco. There were local and international rock concerts, Thai traditional, contemporary and modern dance incorporating all the latest trends such as hip-hop.

There were also circus shows, puppet shows, juggling shows, photography, film and fashion exhibitions and amazing cabaret.

Impact Arena Rock Concerts

For your convenience, I've compiled a comprehensive inventory of some of the best rock concerts that have performed live in Bangkok. I will try to add more to the list as and when they become available. In the meantime go and check out all the players who have previously held concerts in the city.

They had included familiar names such as Eric Clapton, the legendary blues guitar player, Carlos Santana and the American rock band, The EaglesI also covered some of the relatively new generation rock groups like Slash, the Scorpions, the Deftones, New Found Glory, Zakk Wylde and much more. James Blunt performed live and loud in Bangkok recently with his Some Kind of Trouble Concert. It was a truly spectacular show and an experience that was not to be missed. If you love his music, you would have loved this concert. He sang songs from his latest album and also songs such as You're Beautiful from Back to Bedlam and 1973 from All the Lost Souls.

Award winning American rock band Maroon 5 who have produced a number of albums over the years have also performed live in at the Impact Arena in Bangkok. Fans had a great time and really enjoyed that concert.

Die hard fans of Korean pop sensation JYJ3 could not afford to miss their pop idols Kim Jaejoong, Park Yuchun and Kim Junsu when they began their WORLD TOUR CONCERT IN BANGKOK, THAILAND. The charismatic talents of this extraordinary singing and dancing trio had fans spellbound from beginning to end as they entertained with their all their top hit songs.

Joni Anwar and Louis Scott of nineties boy band Raptor were back together after being absent for thirteen years. They had performed live once more for two nights only and sang a lot of their new rap songs, some new remixes as well as their old school stuff. Hope you didn't miss all the action.

Christina Aguilera performed live at the Royal Paragon Hall Exhibition and Convention Centre in Bangkok. Hope you were able to see the spectacular event if you were in the city at that time. If not, there will be more of her soon.
