All that is needed to be nominated for the title of Thailand's Dumbest Aunty is one old lady, a rifle, some yaba tablets and heaps of bravado. Mix all the ingredients together and you have the perfect recipe for a nightmare on Elm Street. It could easily be an catastrophic cocktail waiting to explode but.... To be more specific this is an actual account of one such elderly lady who got her nickers in a knot after a drug bust went horribly wrong. In an early morning crack down, police sprung a surprise attack on the said suspect. It proved to be all that was required to knock the socks off this snake in the grass. She did however manage to hold on to those nickers of hers. All it took was one phone call to the police from a concerned local resident. It was the tip-off they were looking for. A drug dealer selling illegal narcotics to strangers on the street. A sting operation was set in motion and a rendezvous put in place. An undercover agent posed as a potential buyer and all he had to do was wait for the queen bee to come to the honey pot. The old duck fell for the scam hook, line and sinker. It was a real shocker for her when she realized she was caught in a trap. But it was all a little to late when police pounced on this dirty little drug dealer. She got her just reward for her effort in handing over some yaba tablets in return for money. Not only that, it is believed that this dirty rotten scoundrel was often seen banishing a loaded Remington Rifle. She was subsequently arrested along with her big gun and taken to the police station for further interrogation. Yaba is a combination of methamphetamine and caffeine. It simply means crazy medicine in Thai. The drug is popular in Asian communities as well as the USA and is increasingly available at rave and techno parties.
The Point of the MatterAfter watching a TV news report about four naive Thai girls accepting cash to become animal poachers on a farm in South Africa by a older Thai male, would it not be apparent that these rather petite girls, could hardly hold up a rifle let alone shoot an engendered animal with one. It turns out that the young girls implicated here where somehow coerced into this dirty schemein order to obtain hunting permits as is required by law in that country. The man incriminated in the TV news report is believed to be a kingpin in the illicit trade of rhino horns, however the point I am trying to get across here is, how is it possible that Thailand's dumbest aunty could even pick up this big gun let alone use it to intimidate someone. What was she thinking! Was she also perhaps considering pursuing a hunting trip or did she simply obtain the rifle to bring down a couple of water buffaloes on her farm. You be the judge. I hardly think that this aunty would be hunting crocodiles or tigers or maybe something even worse like scorpions, spiders and snakes.
